I found records that this same ship, with a different master (S. Steeken) sailed from Bremen Germany to the Port of New Orleans January 14, 1839. The term Barque is defined as: any vessel with a particular type of rig. This comprises three (or more) masts, fore-and-aft sails on the aftermost mast and square sails on all other masts."
