Kirkland - May 11. Funeral Services for J. William Pryor were largely attended at his late home at Kirkland, Saturday and at St. Mary's Church, Clinton. A solemn requiem high mass was celebrated by the Reverend Father McNeil, assisted by two other priests. There was a wealth of beautiful floral tributes banked about the casket; also a large number of spiritual offerings. The bearers were Houston Pryor, Frank Pryor, Joseph Crane, Leo Crane, Roy Caraher, and Lionel Pratt. Interment was made at St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton.

a veteran of the Spanish-
American War and an employee of
the Langdon & Hughes Electrical
Co. Inc. of Utica, when the firm
started in business, died March 3,
1958 in a Utica hospital after a
three-month illness.
Mr. Quinn was born July 21,1876
in Kirkland, a son of Thomas F.
and Alice Houston Quinn. He was
an electrician by trade and was
employed all his life by Langdon.&
Hughes, retiring 23 years ago.
He married Mary L Rauscher
_Uiu^-2VW03-trrSt. Agnes Church,
Vernon Center. They moved to Utica
after their marriage and returned
to Kirkland about 1935.
Mrs. Quinn died three years ago.
Mr. Quinn served in the U. S.
Volunteers Infantry In the Spanish-
American War and was a corporal
in Co "C" 26th U. S. Volunteers
Infantry. He saw duty in the
Philippines.
He was a communicant of the
Church of the Annunciation, Clark
Mills, and was a member of E. H.
Liscum-O. Ross Wheeler Camp 33,
United Spanish War Veterans, Utica;
the International Brotherhood
of Electrical Workers, Local 181;
the Holy Name Society of the
Church of the Annunciation, and
the Third Order of St. Francis.
Mr. Quinn leaves two sisters, Mrs.
Daniel H. Pryor aad Mrs. Vincent
Stockbridge, both of Seneca Turnpike,
Kirkland; five brothers' John
F. Quinn, Whitesboro; Edward M.
Qulnn and Thomas W. Qulnn, Klrkland;
William B. Quinn, Utica; and
James P. Quinn, New York City,
and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Tuesday from
the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 E.
Park Row, Clinton, and the Church
of the Annunciation," where a requiem
high Mass was celebrated.
Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery,
Clinton.

Marcella Quinn was born in the town of Westmoreland January 15, 1875, daughter of Thomas and Alice Houston Quinn. She was educated in the Kirkland School. On October 31, 1900 she was married to Daniel H. Pryor in St. Mary's Church, Clinton. He died September 15, 1953. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Clinton, its Rosary and Altar Society and the Clinton Grange. She leaves two daughters, Mrs Edward Dressell of Clinton. Mrs. Burton Petrie of Westmoreland; two sons, James Houston Pryor and Daniel H. Pryor both opt Clinton; a sister Mrs. Vincent Stockbridge of Kirkland, William Quinn of of Utica, James Quinn of New York City; 10 Grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be at 10 Friday from Owens Funeral Home, College St., Clinton and at 10:30 from St. Mary's Church where a requiem high mass will be offered. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow.  Page 8  IMH001
